Tour OverviewField trip participants will have the opportunity to learn about and explore the facility:Soda Lake Known Geothermal Resource Area (SLKGRA) Wellfield historyEarly wellfield developmentUnusual wellfield: combining steam, lower temperature wells, and discussion of the hottest pumped production well known.Soda Lake 1, 2, and 3 Geothermal Power Plants and history and the progression between the plants.A little history of the area, and an overview of the volcanic activity in the area including the surface manifestations that drew attention to the area for exploration.A brief tour of the power plant and wellfield.Safety RequirementsAll attendees must wear closed-toe shoes, long-sleeve shirts, and pants.
