2025 Geothermal Rising Student Research Award

The 2025 Geothermal Rising Student Research Award is open for applications! This award celebrates innovative research from our student members in areas like exploration, engineering, policy, education, and outreach. Applications consist of a 2-page extended abstract and 5-minute recorded video presentation of your work. Cash prizes are available to 1st and second place in each category (BS, MS, and PhD), and winners will be recognized at the 2025 GRC with a chance to have their research published in the 2026 GR Bulletin magazine! Apply by August 28th to be considered. Free Summer Webinar

We are thrilled to announce our second FREE summer webinar! Dr. Cary Lindsey from the University of Nevada-Reno will present on how to create a compelling technical poster August 15th at 10:15 am PDT via Zoom. Students will get poster feedback from their first draft on August 13, and final posters are due August 27, so this gives students time to incorporate tips and feedback. She will give a short presentation and then offer more specific help. The webinar is free to attend, but we ask that you register here. Use  this link to join on August 15th.
