The AISES National Conference has been held annually since 1978 and is an unparalleled opportunity to connect companies with over 2,500 Indigenous high school juniors and seniors, college and graduate students, educators, workforce professionals and our corporate, government, private foundation, nonprofit, and tribal partners for professional development, networking opportunities, research presentations, workshops, awards, and traditional Indigenous cultural events. The National Conference hosts the largest college and career fair in Indian Country with many companies also hosting hiring events by conducting onsite interviews. Job seekers are provided interview coaching, and resume development, as well as career planning and other skills necessary to be successful in today’s job market. For students considering college or graduate school, resources are provided to assist in financial planning, applying to college or graduate school, as well as information on the many STEM majors and careers available. AISES members and attendees from the U.S. and Canada, and as far away as Alaska and Hawai’i make connections and they find the resources and services to advise and advance their academic studies and careers.

For the first time, the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and Geothermal Rising are bringing together geothermal, critical minerals and gases to explore the connections between them, either in the formation of the reservoirs or reserves, or in exploring for, evaluating, and producing them. Specifically, the conference will bring together geothermal, lithium, geologic hydrogen, helium, iodine, and more in the form of technical presentations, probing panel discussions, poster sessions, and more.

Now in its fourth year, NZ Geothermal Week is held in and around the Taupō Volcanic Zone, where New Zealand’s world-class geothermal industry is concentrated.  The week showcases and celebrates this thriving industry, which is well-positioned to help Aotearoa New Zealand, transition to a sustainable energy future. 

Renewable geothermal resources can deliver not only baseload electricity, but also off-grid heat energy for industrial processes and production systems, and sustainable recovery of minerals.  Baseload electricity and heat energy can also be used to produce other renewable fuels such as hydrogen and wood pellets. 

With many events for industry and business, schools and communities, everyone has a chance to get involved in sharing and learning about what geothermal has to offer.

"Catalyzing Investment for Geothermal Development in Africa " - ARGeo

ARGeo was officially launched in November 2010 at the opening session of the Third African Rift Geothermal Conference (ARGeo-C3) in Djibouti..

UN Environment ARGeo project aims at supporting the development of the large untapped geothermal resource potential in the Eastern Africa region with the main objective of reducing the risks associated with the resource’s exploration. ARGeo also aims to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by promoting the adoption of geothermal energy in the region.

ARGeo will also help demonstrate that the resource is reliable, cost effective and indigenous as compared to other sources of power in the Eastern Africa region. The utilization of the resource in agriculture and industry will also be promoted.
