Family Fun at GRC: Discover Geothermal in Downtown Reno!
Join us for a kid-friendly afternoon of scientific exploration and discovery in the heart of downtown Reno! Hosted alongside the Geothermal Rising Conference, this event is open to both visiting families and the local community — all are welcome to celebrate Reno’s unique role as a leader in geothermal energy.
The adventure begins at The Discovery Museum, where families can enjoy snacks and drinks, explore interactive exhibits, and catch a live science demonstration.
Explore the museum’s interactive exhibits and get inspired by the world around us and beneath our feet.
Then we’ll head across the street to the Downtown Reno Public Library for a geothermal-themed scavenger hunt — complete with clues, a plaque rubbing station, and prizes for finishers — plus a cozy renewable energy storytime for younger attendees.
This event is a fun, engaging way to explore the power of geothermal — and share it with the next generation.
Come explore the potential how geothermal can power our world — and why Reno is at the center of it all — at this free, hands-on event for families and curious minds of all ages. Free shuttle from the Peppermill Resort for GRC attendees!
